Director Internal Audit - Amsterdam and/or Budapest

A role with great responsibilities

The function briefly described:

  • Leader of the Group Internal Audit Function.
  • Build, shape and develop a small audit function in Amsterdam and Budapest. You will operate from one of these two locations (of your choice).
  • Set-up right sized co-sourcing engagements.
  • Develop and execute a Group-wide (risk based) Internal Audit plan.
  • Deliver agreed internal audit services to Senior Management, the Management Board and Audit Committee.
  • Timely respond tot ad hoc requests from Management Board and Audit Committee.
  • Improve business practices, by making value added recommendations.
  • Drive application of data analytics in (fraud) risk management, internal control and internal audit activities.

Specific requirements

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A minimum of at least 10 years internal audit experience, and minimum 5 more years of relevant experience.
  • One or more certifications in auditing, risk management and/or accounting (CPA, CIA, CFE or equivalent).
  • Work experience with global manufacturing companies.
  • Strong (project) management and leadership skills.
  • The flexibility to travel, up to 50%.
  • A personality that matches with the following key words: selfstarting, rollup sleeves, business partner, able to add value ‘within a flying rocket’.
  • (Experience with fraud risk management and investigations is a plus.)
